FAQs

Do you accept payment plans or financing?

Yes! I require a deposit at the time of booking to secure your due date in my calendar. The rest is due by your 37-week mark when I officially go on call. We can discuss a payment plan that works for you.

I also accept Klarna and Afterpay as financing options for all of my services! Click here to learn more about this option.

how will I receive my photos and how long will it take?

All galleries are delivered via an online link through Pixieset. You will receive a “Sneak Peek” gallery within 48 hours of your session. Your full gallery will be delivered within 4-8 weeks of our session.

how does birth photography work?

First, we start by booking a free phone or video consultation. In this call, we will go over what it is you are looking for in a photographer, your labor history, and get to know each other. Next, we sign contracts and secure a deposit. After that, we keep in close communication throughout the remainder of your pregnancy. I’ll go on call at 37 weeks and shortly after that, we meet your baby!

do you travel?

I travel up to 2 hours. (I will travel further than 2 hrs for non-birth sessions for an additional travel fee). Given the unpredictable nature of birth, traveling more than 2 hours is just playing with fire. Maybe for a first-time birther, as those tend to be lengthier labors and deliveries. But I want to ensure I can make it to your birth, so especially for subsequent births it’s best to stick close to home!

how do you know when to come?

Good communication is the special ingredient here. Ideally, I’d like to know as soon as you think you are experiencing any signs of labor. That way I can ensure my bags are packed and start arranging childcare to be on standby. I aim to arrive once active labor is established (contractions are stronger, regular, and close together).

what happens if you miss my birth?

Hopefully, I won’t. Again, communication is of the utmost importance. Yep, even if it’s 2 a.m., and yep, even if you’re not sure. I’d rather be there for a false alarm than miss the real thing.

But, sometimes life happens. Some things are left out of our control.

If I miss the moment of birth, I will still arrive as soon as possible at the place of birth to document the moments after.

If I miss the event altogether, we can choose to put the balance towards other sessions, such as Welcome Home, Postpartum, Newborn, and Family.

do you offer bundle packages?

Yes! If you are interested in bundling Maternity, Birth, and Postpartum, or any other variation of sessions I offer, I will gladly offer a discount and provide package pricing upon request.
